• I’m using WP 2.05. I am new to WP, so perhaps there is a setting that is causing my problem that I just haven’t found yet.

Every time I upload an image from the write post screen, no matter what size, when I click “send to editor”, WP inserts the thumbnail dimensions into the img tag. Even if I click “use original”, it puts the thumbnail dimensions in the tag. I know the original image isn’t actually being resized, because I’ve checked it on the server.

How can I display the full sized original image?

    Thanks for your help

  • Left click on the image, it will say “using thumbnail” among the options. Click on that, it should switch to “using original” close, and now it will send the full size image.

That doesn’t work for me, either. What I do and tsmack might have to do is to click on the image after you’ve put it into the post and you’ll see little “handles” to then drag to resize the picture.

miklb- i’ve been doing exactly what you suggested, and it’s still posting thumbnail sized images, even if I pick “using original”. that was the reason for my post.

since my original post, the problem mysteriously corrected itself for a while, then reappeared. i didn’t change anything to affect this. this is truly bizarre.

once the thumbnail comes to the editor, click on the HTML box at the top and there would be some code like:

    ‘code
    yourpicture.thumbnail.png
    ‘code’

just delete “thumbnail” and it will work fine.

BTW, my blog is: wwkidz.com. take a look
