WordPress Lightbox IE9 problem

Hi
In the previous version of WordPress I had the problem that Lightbox did not work in IE9. After asking around alot I was given to understand that the last WP version didn’t have the latest versions of Protoype and Scriptaculous. I attempted to update them manually but still no joy.
Can you tell me if WP 3.3 now has the latest version of the above and if so, why is it still not possible to have Lightbox work in IE9?
It seems that in IE9 Lightbox attempts to load but then simply displays another page with just the image showing.
I am using the following:
WP 3.3
Portfolio Press 0.8.3
WP Photo Album Plus 4.2.10
W3 Total Cache 0.9.2.4
and I have cleared the IE9 Cache.

Lightbox works in Firefox, Safari, Chrome etc with no problems.
Is this problem simply that IE9 is a pile of **** or is there some kind of fix I can use.
