WordPress Loads Blank Screen; Only Scroll Bar Visible

    Hi, I’ve just realized this new issue today. I had some purchases a few days ago, and it was working fine. I’m not sure if the site was overwhelmed with traffic. But, the site now refuses to load.

    All that’s visible is a scroll bar. I can scroll up and down, but no content is visible. As far as I know, this didn’t start until I installed King Sumo Giveaways. However, when I disabled it, the problem persisted. How do I fix this?

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress 4.8. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    Why have you been using an old copy of WordPress? Were you aware that your site is currently running a very real risk of being hacked? You need to upgrade WordPress asap.

    Hi, I’ve mostly resolved the issue thanks to HostGator’s wonderful tech support. The site loads fully in Edge and Chrome. However, it doesn’t load on FireFox. The strange part is this only seems to happen on my laptop. When I tried loading it on the FireFox app for my iPhone 7 Plus, the site loads fine.

    It seems to load fine on other computers. I can’t figure out why it refuses to load on Firefox only on my laptop? It seems to load on other devices.
