wordpress local host file is not popping up

  • configured mamp to be set up and followed all the instructions. created sql database and installed wordpress and put it in the file and named it after the database. when i go to my local host, i do not see the folder anywhere. all i see is this. https://i.imgur.com/B1wUK.png

    any help would be appreciated

    Which url are you accessing?

    hmmm… whos that… i think maybe you place your wp files other than the root of our htdocs.

    also try localhost:8888

    i don’t have a mac, but i think mamp uses port 8888 as the default
