WordPress Local to Live via 123 Reg issues
-
I have a WordPress site that I have designed locally but I am struggling to put it live via 123 reg. I have followed instructions to doing this process a few times and I still can’t get it to work. I believe the problem starts because 123 reg names the rows in the database differently to those on my local machine (example mine are wp_comments and 123 reg starts TRUEwp_comments). So after I have imported my sql file into phpmyadmin I get duplicate rows (TRUEwp_comments and wp_comments). After uploading my wordpress files that I designed locally to my host, I then tried dropping the TRUEwp rows by 123 reg in hopes it would read mine. But when I go to the link it asks me to install wordpress again, and if I leave the TRUEwp rows there they overwrite mine and the default template shows. This is urgent as its my business website and I don’t know what to do. Right now i have no live website. Any help?
