Since yesterday I’m having trouble logging in to WordPress sites on a particular host – they’re either redirecting or sending back the error: Could not save login nonce

I’m speaking to the server people but does anyone have any idea what might causing this?

Shortly before the errors, the login form was displaying the message: ‘The connection is not secure. Logins entered here could be compromised’ in the login box.

  • @cybermama,
First of you have not define which wordpress version used.
Any plugin or customized code applied for login functionality or used WordPress default login form.

Can anyone help here? Still can’t access website…

    Hi CyberMama,
Hope by this time you resolved your problem! ??

Thanks for the clue! I had the same message, and it was iThemes Security (Pro, in my case) that caused the problem I am pretty sure.
I moved it out of the /plugins folder to the root level temporarily so I could get in.
I still have to resolve what to do next.

Ha ha – yeah – all resolved now thankfully ??
So long ago I can’t actually recall how we fixed it. May have even been a server/host level thing… a temp folder getting full and not emptying when it should springs to mind – might have been this issue.
But glad our thread helped you a little – good luck!
