Does anyone know where I can get an editable (a .psd file maybe?) version of the WordPress logo. I’d like to include it in a theme I am creating and using the versions I have found available look pixelated, even at the largest sizes.

    Thanks.

  • Maybe you should ask first the owners (copyright holder) if you can use it.

Already got it. If there are any legal issues regarding the use of the WordPress logo, please let me know. Thanks!

I’m a little unsure about including the logo in a theme—as long as you don’t do it in a way that makes false-leading representations, I guess there wouldn’t be problems.

If you want to cover your bases, why not post a link to your theme once you finish it, so people can have a look?

I wasn;t clear in my initial post. I am not incorporating the logo into my theme, but creating a WordPress button/link that fits the look and style of my WP theme.

The WordPress buttons that are provided on this site don’t fit the look I’m going for.

I was under the impression that using the WordPress logo to promote the blogging platform was encouraged.

If there is a problem I will simply place a text link at the bottom of the page.

    Thanks again.

At least, this is something we can agree on ??

Using someone else’s logo in a theme or creating a WP button for linkback – they are two very different things!
Promoting WP is always welcome, of course. As well as wording questions precisely…
