WordPress, MAMP & Dreamweaver

  • Hi Support team.
    I am trying to learn WordPress as an asset to my portfolio as a Web Designer. I have been learning HTML, CSS, Javascript and PHP, but I still consider myself generally a beginner. I am trying to make my first professional site for a friend of mine. I would like to make him a Parallax scrolling, responsive site with my own design ideas and graphics. I would like to use a WordPress template and adjust it to my design needs, and build the site on a local MAMP testing server and use Dreamweaver to work in the code. I am trying to set up all of these interacting applications but I have been having difficulty with understanding the accurate information I need to put into each field in order to set it up properly. Any suggestions?

  • What specific info are you looking for?

    Do you have MAMP installed?

    Do you have WP installed and running in MAMP?

    Searches are the best place to find info for DW and WP integration as it is not a core WP function.
