WordPress Media path change

  • Hello!

    I have really interesting question about media folder.

    Example i want build e-commerce website where will be around 5000-10000 pictures in media folder.
    How it will be handle with loading time ?

    And here is my plan about media folder, how it will be, if i put media folder in another server ? It’s will be better for loading time ? or its will be the same ?

    How i know, the first will be loading website content and then loading pictures from another server. Or it’s will be the same, when media folder will be in the same server ?

  • WordPress is designed so that it does not load all media files at once. Don’t need to worry about having many pictures.

    Make sure you have enough storage space and optimise the image size.

    There are plugins allow you to offload pictures to cloud storage.
