• Hi,
I love qTranslate-X, and as a traveller I like to use the WordPress for Android app. However doing so, this will happen:
    1. If text and translation are entered via regular WordPress admin, editing them in the app will delete the translation.
    2. If text and translation are entered via the app (using shortcodes), both app and regular admin will recognize both text and translation: the app recognizes the shortcodes and the admin shows her normal behaviour. But after editing and saving them in the regular admin, the app will fallback to the behaviour as described in 1.
Deleted translations can not be recovered via the WordPress backend.
There must be something wrong with the behaviour of the shortcodes, since in general the mobile app accepts shortcodes quite wel.

I can only test it on an iPhone, no such problems here

Too bad. The conflict with the Android app still exists.

Thanks for the fast reply by the way.

how are the settings under – Languages – Import/Export – Convert Database?

    Sorry for the delay:
I have a fresh qTranslate-X install, that means everything is in “[:en]English[:de]Deutsch[:]” style (and of course the Convert Database being set to the default don’t convert, since that’s what’s preferred by qTranslate-X).

By the way: I reported it as a bug to the Android mobile editor-crew as well. They confirmed they will check it while porting the iOS editor to Android, no roadmap though.

So maybe one day the problem will be solved…
