    Hi Laim Dempsey,

Since wp-content is a core file of WordPress, which is not listed in dashboard’s pages or posts so I used a plugin called “String Locater” to modify the index.php file. I modified only a single file but the codeguard “https://www.codeguard.com/ ” shows me the alert that more that 500 files are modified.

    Hi umesh1994,

When you get into editing core WordPress files, you’re getting into risky territory. It’s a best practice to not edit the core files. With that said, I’m not entirely sure why Codeguard flagged up that so many files were edited.
