WordPress move from subdomain to domain failed, redirect errrors

hi

I tried to move my blog from my testsite

test.example.com

to

https://www.example.com

I used the same database and just copied the files from the subdomain to the main domain, this got the site up and running, I also added absolute path to wp-config.php as shown on this site and changed any reference to test.example.com in the database directly. So far so Good

however allthought the site is working fine Im still having issues, for example I installed buddypress and when trying to access some components it keeps on referring back to the old subdomain

another example I integrated a forum (vbulletin) where im calling header.php from the site root to display the wordpress header on my vbulletin forum.. this also causes errors because this keeps redirecting me to the test.example.com domain..

any ideas how to fix this ? I want to completeley remove all references to the old domain, and the site root should point to www io test.. because I think this is what it sometimes does
