I’ve been using WordPress multisite on DreamHosts’ VPS package, and all has been working remarkably well.

However, I’ve run into a problem with the WordPress MU Domain Mapping plugin: https://bit.ly/WPMSDomainMapping

I am trying to map https://sub.domain.org/ to https://newdomain.org/

When I amend the DNS A record of newdomain.org to point at the IP address (as detailed in the plugin instructions) I just get a bad_httpd_conf error (https://wiki.dreamhost.com/Bad_httpd_conf).

DreamHost support have told me that this is because there are multiple sites installed at the VPS unique IP address. But how else is the WPMU Domain Mapping plugin _supposed_ to work?!

I have started to mess with the apache config file though at the moment I’m just getting directory listings ??

Has anyone managed to get WordPress MS domain mapping cracked with DreamHost VPS? Would love to hear a solution!

    tia, Jake
