WordPress Multisite

Hello, I have a question about the “WordPress Multisite” feature. I want to create versions of my website in different languages, and I’ve been considering creating subdirectories for this task. My question is, is this efficient? Will the theme and plugins from the main site be installed in the subdirectories as well, or do I have to install them again separately? And if so, would this have a significant impact on server usage?
