    Hello

    RE: Ajax Event Calendar plugin

I have a wordpress multisite with 3 different wordpress sites on the network. When I install the plug-in it only seems to work fully on one of the sites, even though its installed on all three. I am unable to add events on 2 of the 3 sites.

I note that only one of the sites (the working one) has the role ‘Calendar contributor’ created, the other two do not. I have added the role and capabilities manually to the other sites but I am still not able to create the events.

are there special instillation instructions for a multisite wordpres?

    Kind regards
    Bodo

This plugin does not support multisite installations.
I’m afraid I cannot be of further assistance in this matter.

    Eran

FYI I installed the plugin v0.9.8.6 with WordPress 3.2.1 Multisite install and everything seems to be working across the two sites I have going.

Eran, I think your plugin is great. Are you sure it doesn’t work in Multisite installs, because it seems to be working for me.

    That’s terrific news!
I suppose I should have said, I do not test and therefore cannot claim to support multisite installations. So I’m really pleased to learn that it works.

    Thanks for posting!

@whatsupmf Are you sure its working properly on the both sites u have?

I haven’t done a lot testing, so I can’t say with certainty, it’s on a development server right now and the basics of setting up a calendar and adding events on three sites in a multisite install worked ok as far as I can tell. It will get much more thorough testing over the next couple months as my project moves into more serious development stages.

Hi Eran. Your plugin is fantastic. I am using it in a Multisite installation on three separate sites, and the category colors will not stick. The issue has something to do with DB tables. When I make a revision to one table, for one of the sites, it messes up a table settings for another site in the same installation. ??

However, I resolved my issue by creating a single calendar site and creating multiple pages within that site using your shortcodes as category filters for the different calendars. I only wish that I can filter the categories on the backend calendar as I can do on the frontend. ??

At present, this plugin does not support multi-site installations.

After the next version of the plugin beta is launched (at the end of this week) I will be moving bug tracking/feature requests to a more functional site than this discussion board and will be providing details with the next release of the plugin.

In addition, I will be collecting feature requests in a survey to determine which features would satisfy the largest number of calendar users as a tool to help determine what functionality should receive primary attention. This prioritization seems the fairest way to define the product roadmap.

Eran, thank you for the info. I will be making a donation for your time and effort on a great plugin that will help our small school.

Please consider my suggestion of a backend feature that would filter the Dashboard calendar categories for calendar moderators. It would be great if this feature could be controlled by the admin.

For example, I set up one calendar for our school and three different classrooms on four different pages, using your [calendar categories=””] shortcode. I have assigned four moderators, one for each calendar. Each moderator has to sift through 16 categories on the backend to assign dates for his/her respective calendar. It would be great if I could assign a backend calendar that filters out the categories that do not apply. Just a thought. ??

Does your plugin work with Buddypress?

The primary objective of this calendar was to get it working on WordPress.
Since I do not make use of it, I have not made any special provisions for BuddyPress, but I’m also not aware of any incompatibility.

To properly consider all requests, all features and bugs should be submitted to the new issue tracker.

If you have not already done so, please take a few moments to complete this feedback form. Your answers will help determine future plugin development. Please submit your responses only once, multiple submissions are automatically excluded.

Calling all Beta Testers! The 1.0 release is now available for testing.
