• Hi. Firstly I personally think WP is great.

The problem is the person I’m doing the website for. The site is for a sailing club with about 200 members who all need the option to register and Post.

He says that the WordPress screens (Register, Change password, Post, Dashboard etc) are far to complicated for the average user. I’ve tried to help with some screen-shots and instructions on the site. His opinion is if you need to include instructions, it proves that things are too complicated.

I have spent ages trying to make things more simple, searching and testing various ‘user friendly’ plugins. One being Quick Post. This has been very time consuming for me.

So, have I choosen the wrong platform for simple ‘members site’.
Also, why isn’t there an option to have cleaner and simpler backend screens without loads of options.

Has anyone had a similar experience ?
