• I have recently installed wordpress on my server and yesterday could happily download themes and work with the dashboard etc.

Today I cannot log in using the usename and password I was supplied with.

I can log in using www.ads-software.com and see my profile and details, but cannot access the dashboard using wordpress.com

Am I doing something wrong? I have looked for a dashboard in www.ads-software.com but cannot find it. What am I doing wrong? Any thoughts?

  • www.ads-software.com and wordpress.com are completely separate. Is your site hosted on wordpress.com or did you download it an install it on your own (hosted) server?

WordPress.com and www.ads-software.com are separate entities, Your WordPress.com details may be different to that of www.ads-software.com username/password.

Due to this, you’ll have to contact WordPress.com support: https://en.support.wordpress.com/ I would personally follow the steps to reset your password here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/passwords/ (by using the email address you signed up with)

Edit: As pointed out above.. If you’ve installed it on your own host, then you’re not using WordPress.com at all. instead you should login via https://site.com/wp-admin/

    Thankyou very much!

I had no idea you had to go to https://site.com/wp-admin/ if you self host.

    That worked a treat!
