WordPress not recognizing my email
-
Hi,
I am not a very tech savvy person…i have a professional website here, i have a really bad history of having my personal accounts hacked so i am always really paranoid about it, it really controlled and took over my life at one point. I cannot access my website, it says the username/email does not exist, that there is no account associated with it.I did flick through my emails and found ONE from WordPress (why only one, where have all the others gone like the confirmation when i signed up in the first place!?) that says this:
You are receiving this message because you recently registered or changed the contact information for one or more of the following domains: lauradenmar.com. ICANN, the organization responsible for the stability of the Internet, requires you to verify the email address associated with your domain registration to make sure you receive important notifications about your domain. The email address we currently have on file is: laura*******@gmail.com. Please click the following button to verify your email address as soon as possible, or your sites and emails that use this domain will stop working.
So i think i must have ignored this back in October or not seen it and didn’t verify my address, is this why it’s not working? But the site functions…i just can’t log into it. I really just need assurance that it has not been hacked. I mean is this it now – there’s just going to be a website of me and about me up on the internet forever that i have no way of editing or removing myself?I can’t believe there is no personal support here, what if someone has hacked me and can post anything they want about me, it’s so insidious and giving me so much anxiety, please help ??
