wordpress not updating

    Hi,

    I tried to update my wordpress website to the newest version (5.2.3) but this error message comes up. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    I’ve found an old back up of the files. I haven’t been changing much content recently so it could help.

    I have an old backup but nothing recent. I haven’t made any major changes to the site for a while.

    Would it be worth doing a manual update to the latest version of wordpress?

    Just did the manual update, everything seems to be working fine now. No error messages coming up in the dashboard. Thanks for your advice.
