• Hey all,

I appear to be having a strange problem with my installation.

I am running WordPress on a Solaris 10 x86_64. I am running it in one of 3 zones and loopback mounting the /var/apache2/2.2 to the Web Server zone.

When I access the blog from a machine inside my network it word perfectly. All of the theme formats look great. But, when I try to access it from the internet side of the fire wall, I get the text but none of the theme formats are used.

At first I thought it was a permissions problem but I opened the permissions on the file system completely. No joy.

Have anyone experienced this behavior? If so, what was the solution?

    Thanks in advance,

    DHM

  • disable your firewall – when people try uploading images to ftp while firewall is on, they don’t make it through, could be same issue

What is your WordPress blog url? Are you using localhost?

Sorry for the long delay. Life has a way of burning hours quickly. LOL

OK, I disabled my firewall and that didn’t fix the problem. I do, however, have additional information.

Iridiax, the blog URL is https://musil-clan.com/wordpress/

I downloaded firebug to my browser and to a browser on the outside. It appears that WordPress is using the NAT’d IP address as the URL in both cases.

    i.e.

    Danimal’s Blog

As I said, this is the same both inside the firewall and outside the firewall. It is almost like it has been hard coded during the installation. (I have checked so I know better than that. ?? ) I don’t know if this helps at all.

    checked…
    /etc/hosts
/etc/resolv.conf which points to my router.
