I’m using WordPress 6.3. When I log in to my WordPress website and click on Edit profile on the upper right. The notifications setting is not there. I’m not finding any solutions on Google

WordPress does not have a built-in Notifications feature.

Are you referring to what you can see in the screenshots at https://jetpack.com/support/notifications/ ?

If so, make sure that you have the Jetpack plugin installed, activated, and connected.

If it’s still not working, make sure Notifications is enabled under the Modules page: https://jetpack.com/support/control-jetpack-features-on-one-page/

If it is but still isn’t working, or you couldn’t make it that far, I recommend getting in touch with Jetpack’s support about this via https://jetpack.com/contact-support/?rel=support if you have any of their paid Jetpack plans or https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/jetpack/ if you do not.

I’m not sure which notifications you’re referring to, but I assume you’re interested in adjusting the discussion settings, where you can manage notifications for comments.

Those can be managed here: wp-admin/options-discussion.php

I’m working on creating a web form, so that when I email previous clients to get them to join my email list. They will have a button to choose to opt in. This will take them to a webform on my website. I want to receive a notification that they opted in and also if they filled out additional info on the form. I’m not sure if this is considered a push notification, so I installed One Signal. Maybe that will work. I also have Jet pack installed and it’s activated, so maybe that will work also. I’m in the beginning stages of this, so please excuse my ignorance.

The WordPress.com website gave me this info below. I assumed I referred to my website when I log in as the admin, but maybe I was incorrect about this

    Activate Browser Notifications

To turn on WordPress.com notifications in your browser:

    1. Visit your site’s?dashboard.
    2. Click your profile icon in the upper right corner of the window.
    3. Select “Notification Settings” on the left side.
    4. Next to the “Browser Notifications” panel, click the?Enable?button:

To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and www.ads-software.com are two different entities: https://www.ads-software.com/documentation/article/difference-between-wordpress-org-and-wordpress-com/

The WordPress.com support doc refers to a built-in WordPress.com feature which is not present in www.ads-software.com site, but the good news is that the Jetpack plugin specifically brings built-in WordPress.com features to www.ads-software.com sites, like the Notifications feature you’re mentioning.

I’m not sure it will integrate with your custom form though, since they offer their own form system: https://jetpack.com/support/jetpack-blocks/contact-form/
