wordpress on 123-reg

  • Hi all – I’ve recently purchased web hosting from 123-reg.co.uk and have been trying to get my wordpress site up and running for hours…

    WordPress is now installed but every page load takes around 1 minute to load!! I’ve tried updating wordpress (to version 3.6) and it fails everytime, even the plugins won’t update!

    Now am I doing something fundamentally wrong or have a picked an awful web hosting company? Unfortunately I think it’s the latter.

    Can anyone who is using 123-reg let me know how their site performs and how they got it set up.

  • I’d say its probably the latter sorry to say ?? there are a lot of reasonably priced hosting providers out there with solid WordPress support, I’d find one of those ??

    try a clean re-install before deciding to switch hosting provider.
