Hi, we have deployed a new WordPress site on a Highly Available MS windows setup, with 2 WordPress servers with an Apache HTTP server & a shared MS windows file share cluster for the Apache HTTP htdocs folder. When the WP works from the shared folder htdocs, the performance of the WP application is very slow as compared to when the htdocs runs locally on the Apache HTTP server.
Has anyone faced a similar situation or have any suggestions to run the WP site on a shared location to meet the HA setup requirements?

  • Hi @rudenbraganza,

I have never ran this particular stack with a document root from shared network storage, but I would recommend trying a caching plugin to see if that can help reduce the disk I/O from the non-admin users.

I know W3TC has a setting to attempt improving the performance of sites NFS storage, so perhaps that one is already accounting for a scenario that’s similar to yours?
