• I’ve been running WordPress 3.0.1 for a year now on my local web server (XAMPP if that makes any difference). I’ve now managed to setup a private WiFi network that rebroadcasts my Ethernet, and allows all devices to connect to my local web server. Everything is good, except that WordPress literally uses “localhost” in all paths, which is bad for my iPod, since I don’t have a webserver running on it (yet).

The only “fix” was to change my site address to my private IP (192.168.2.1), but that looks ugly and will not work in all cases. Is there any way that WordPress can RUN off of localhost, but use links that have my actual private IP?

Every time it changes, I have to manually edit the MySQL database, which gets annoying…
