WordPress or 3dcart?

Hey, Y’All,

Pardon if this ain’t the right place; not sure where that might be, if it exists. Just wondering how WP compares against 3dcart for my needs.

I’m interested in having eBooks available for download, for a price, with an affiliate program set up as well. Are there reputable, respectable WP plugins for that, and how “robust” are they?

And while we’re talking about “strength,” I heard that WP is weak with forums and shopping cart systems. Now I’m liking what I see of ppPress (and even BuddyPress) and I’m a little familiar with Zen Cart, if that’s of any relevance….
