WordPress Own Directory – Uploads Folder Uses Full Directory Name
-
Hi,
I recently enabled a wordpress site that was moved from the top-level of the server to its own sub-directory following the instructions at: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory.
The site now lives at: https://www.mysite.com/wordpress-live/ (not its real address) and is working but I have just found that (a) all the existing content is being picked up from the old top-level directory http//www.mysite.com/wp-content/uploads, and (b) that all new uploads are being placed in https://www.mysite.com/wordpress-live/wp-content/uploads.
Is there are way to make all existing and new content be referenced by using /wp-content/uploads, but in fact be picking up that content from https://www.mysite.com/wordpress-live/wp-content/uploads.
It feels like its something to do with absolute paths, etc. but I’m not sure.
Any help much appreciated.
The wordpress address url is: https://www.mysite.com/wordpress-live/
The Site Address URL is: https://www.mysite.comBest regards
Tim
