Has anyone seen the message “Due to site rules, a strong password is required for your account. please choose a new password that rates as strong on the meter”?

I updated WordPress on a site yesterday and it is the first login since so it is hopefully genuine (and a good idea). I just want to check as we found another site on the same server hacked yesterday.

    Many thanks.

    Hi Prazrabi

It’s fine, I’ve sorted out the other hacked site I was referring to.

My question is that one another site, I updated WordPress yesterday and when I went to log into the site this morning I got the message above. It is asking me to change the password there and then before accessing the dashboard.

I just want to check if anyone else has seen this to make sure it is not fraudulent bearing in mind another site on the same sever was hacked.

Have you seen this message and change request after updating WordPress recently?
