  • It should install MyBB when you install it. Is this not the case?

I already have MyBB installed. Should I install the one in the download over the top of it? I am thinking that might mess up all my plugins and everything I have set up now.

BTW I have your wordpress bridge set up. It is working great for embedding MyBB into wordpress. If I can get the two to share users I will be set.

It only works with the embedded (modified) MyBB. You could try to add your plugins etc to it but may be quite a bit of work. Alternatively you can try our MyBB plugin, this installs on your existing MyBB directly: https://go.zingiri.com/downloads.php?action=displaycat&catid=8

I already have the bridge installed as I mentioned in the previous post. It is working to embed MyBB into the wordpress theme. But I don’t see that it or the wordpress plugin is doing anything to share users.

The idea is that you use either one or the other, not both at the same time. The WordPress bridge as a MyBB plugin doesn’t support single sign on (yet). This is something we’re planning for a future release. If you need single sign on, then use the WP plugin instead.

Thank you for your quick responses. I tried installing the modified version of MyBB without the bridge and I am still not seeing any kind of user sharing happening.

But I think the bridge is more important to me. How long do you think it will be before the single user is released in that? I am trying to decide whether to switch to MyBB from phpbb, which has plugins that do both, but I like MyBB better.

    I share

I also prefer mybb over phpbb, but am still using phpbb due to the fact that phpbb intergrates perfect and still this plug-in does not.

Hope to see it working soon.

Sorry but can’t commit on a release date for the user sync in the native MyBB plugin, to be honest it’s not high on the priority list.

Hi, just wondering if the user sync problem has been addressed yet or if there is another plug-in that allows for a single log-in.

    Thanks, Tom
