• All of my posts and pages have disappeared. When I log into my dashboard/admin section it shows there are no posts or drafts. This happened after I re-uploaded my wp-config file because I was getting a “error connecting to database” message. WHAT DO I DO? Those were two years worth of posts, and I do have them on my blogger blog, but I have made it so whenever anyone goes to that blog, it redirects to my current website. I dont know how to get my old posts back.

first things first: don’t panic! overwriting your wp-config file doesn’t lose your posts and pages, they’re stored in the database and the images and media stuff is stored in a folder called uploads.

you may just need to re-enter the correct details for your database as carefully as possible to ensure that they’re accurate.
