• Hey guys,

I’m running into an issue where WordPress prompts me to always update the post or page twice even though the first update does save the post.

For example: If I go to edit a post. I click “Update” and the changes are applied (I confirm on the live post). But if I know try to navigate away from the edit post page I get the alert “Changes you made may not be saved.” Even though the changes have been published.

I hope that makes sense. Any help would be great!

  • Hey claytonchase,

Have you tried testing for a conflict? If you haven’t, you might start there. You’d want to deactivate all of your plugins then see if it works correctly. If it does, reactivate your plugins one at a time, checking each time to see which plugin is creating the conflict. And you can test for a theme conflict by temporarily activating one of the WordPress default themes like Twenty-Twenty.

Also, make sure you’re running the latest version of WordPress.

    Thanks,

    Elise

    Hi,

Have you attempted disabling your plugins to see if one is causing this? Also you may try switching your theme to the default WordPress theme to see if your theme could be causing this.

    Thanks!
