My wordpress has been reset back to default settings, theme, and with all posts deleted and “Hello World” posted. It’s happened 2 times. It appears that the time stamp on the Hello World post is around the time the reset occurs.

My server insists this has nothing to do with them and it must be a software issue. None of my files are changed, so it looks like something happens in the database. Has anyone else had this problem? Could it be traced back to a plugin incompatibility?

Thanks in advance for you help.

there is absolutely no way of answering your two questions, since we dont know what plugins you have activated, dont know what version of WP you are using, etc..

In other words, you have left all of us in the dark.

^My apologies for that frustration. If I overlook details that leave you in the dark again, please just let me know. It’s not my intention to waste your time.

I recently upgraded to version 2.3.3. My blog is located here: https://www.edhelms.org. I was previous using NextGen gallery, all in one SEO optimization, WP tags to technorati, feedburner, and flexipages plugins. However, after the last reset I removed all of the plugins and even the default plugins (ie: akismet) were left deactivated. My blog was reset again.

I am worried about bugs in my layout since I used yvaschapp’s template generator. (I don’t have a clue of how a layout could cause a reset though.) The most recent reset showed a Hello World page timestamp at a time only a few minutes after I last accessed my blog.

If you have any ideas, can you please let me know?
