WordPress resets itself

  • I installed wordpress, then uploaded a back-up I had, managed to make it work correctly, 2 days later I noticed that none of the changes I made were there.

    The problem is that it always goes back to the point where I uploaded the back-up, it deletes plug-ins, CSS and page edits.

    Any fixes or what could be going on?

    Ask your host if they might have restored a backup, too. WordPress does not “reset itself”. Some external action is required.

    Always? Has this happened more than once? If so, is there some pattern to it?

    It was a migration from one server to another because of cost issues, and it has happened more than once.

    I already talked to the host provider and they cleared the cache and some of the changes that I made had come back, I will wait 2 days to see if that is it.
