Your Cloudflare API has disabled my Website’s REST API of WordPress. And
because of that I am unable to SAVE changes / updates made to the pages of
    my Website.

And your Cloudflare API has disabled some plugins like Adsense. All ads
deployed on my site for years have disappeared suddenly.

So I have removed my Domain from Cloudflare. Actually I have removed my
Domain from Cloudflare 2 days back. As problem pesists I tried to clear
Cache with Cloudfare, if any, by re-submitting my Domain to Cloudflare but
in vain. So I have removed my Domain yesterday once again with Cloudflare.
And I have changed your Global API of Cloudflare so that your Cloudflare
will not connect with my website in future.

It took 4 days for me to find that your API is the main culprit behind my
troubles with respect to my Website.

AT PRESENT HOME PAGE AND SOME MORE PAGES ARE NOT WORKING properly. And
because the Home page is not functioning properly my website is almost down
    because of slow loading.

What I want to tell you is that YOU SHOULD NOT INTERFERE WITH THE
FUNCTIONING OF OUR WEBSITES IN THE NAME OF SECURITY.

Your API is disabling REST API of wordpress. This feature is responsible
for SAVING of changes made to the WordPress Website.

Hi, based on what you wrote here, it sounds like you intended to send this to Cloudflare’s support, not WordPress’s support.

I mean, I agree, it would be nice if things didn’t interfere with WordPress, but you’ll need to speak to support for the thing that interfered with WordPress: https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/

Thanks for taking interest to answer to my problem.

I would like to let you know that I have not purchased any service from Cloudflare. I started using Cloudflare API in Litespeed cache plugin for FREE. For some time it went ok. But when I have clicked on Firewall in Cloudflare settings it began playing havoc. It disabled Adsense Ads in my site. When I disabled Litespeed plugin the ads came back. First I thought the problem was with LS cache. Then I removed LS cache. But after that when I tried to UPDATE some of my pages, AIOSEO warned that Cloudflare was interfereing with SAVE factor of WordPress, which works using REST API. AIOSEO asked me to change settings in Cloudflare to exclude AIOSEO from FIREWALL. I did it. After that UPDATES were getting SAVED. BUT previously saved pages continue to be UNSAVED. This includes my HOME page.

And let me tell you that when I tried to contact Cloudflare by writing to them, they were asking me to upgrade and get good services. Moreover my relation with Cloudflare was FREE association and not purchased any service from them. I have not changed my NAMESERVERS to Cloudflare.

So I have removed my Website Domain name from Cloudflare. Ealier I have Removed LS cache also. And now I have no Cloudflare API attached to my Website. After that when I tried to place my complaint in Cloudflare support box it was asking me to verify my Website. For that I have to enter my Domain in Cloudflare system. I cannot take that much RISK by once again entering my domain name in cloudflare records.

Just a few moments back I tried to SAVE a Widget in Sidebar. BUt it did not work.

So I think some thing went wrong with WordPress REST API. I request you or someone to help me resolve the issue.

Okay, that was a lot of good detail, but I’m confused about where things stand now.

With no Cloudflare and no LiteSpeed Cache, are you still having trouble? If so, what trouble exactly are you having now?

Dear Jemes Huff, Thanks for responding to my reply. Yesterday I have tried to flush Cache by pressing the Keys CTRL + R for all the pages which are not UPDATING changes made to including the Front end page that is Home page. BUt in vain.

Problem persists. That is changes made to the 5 pages including Home page are not taking effect. The changes can be seen implemented in Admn window but not in the normal browser window.

If you want I can give access to my Website by telling you my username and passwords etc.

    Thanking you,

Another important issue is Menu is not opening in all the 5 pages including Home page.

Yesterday I have tried to flush Cache by pressing the Keys CTRL + R for all the pages which are not UPDATING changes made to including the Front end page that is Home page. BUt in vain.

Nope. CTRL + R does not flush any cache.

CTRL + R merely refreshes the current page, without even bypassing the local browser cache. And it certainly does NOT bypass or clear the server-based cache or any other upstream cache you may have.

A look at your homepage’s HTML source shows references to the WP Total Cache plugin being used on the website. That’s the cache you need need to flush, and CTRL + R certainly doesn’t flush this.

When I add a random query parameter to the homepage URL (thereby bypassing the cached page), I see a new page with a functional navigation manu, as seen in the screenshot below.

But note that even this new page is using the Siteground Optimizer plugin, which also does caching. So that’s another place to look and flush the cache if your admin changes are not reflecting on the public website.

    Good luck!

If you want I can give access to my Website by telling you my username and passwords etc.

Please don’t do that here, it’s not allowed: https://www.ads-software.com/support/guidelines/#the-bad-stuff

If you want to offer someone direct access for this, please try hiring someone from https://jobs.wordpress.net/ and do not accept any hire or direct access offers posted to these forums.

Our replies crossed, but yeah, @gappiah is right here.

Never have more than one caching solution. There is no performance gained by caching a cache, there’s performance lost, plus you get weird issues like this.

    Thread Starter janardhan

    (@janardhanjp)

James Huff, Following your suggestion I have re-enabled Litespeed Cache plugin and disabled all CDN and Cloudflare related settings. Then the site started working smoothely. But the UPDATE function still was not working on the troubled pages – 5 in number including Home page. AS usual other pages UPDATING normally.

Yesterday I have removed all the un-updating 5 pages and created new pages in lieu. For example I have removed Home page titled “Samskruti” and replaced it with new “HOME” page. Similarly I have removed other 4 pages which are not updating and created new ones in lieu. All these 4 pages are doing well.

But old home page that is Samskruti is appearing still when the site is searched. In fact that page was removed by me yesterday itself. And necessary changes in Wordpess setting to change home page were made by me.

And new page HOME is appearing in Admn window but not in the browser.

PL advise me what to do next.

new page HOME is appearing in Admn window but not in the browser.

Here is what I see for your site’s home page: https://d.pr/i/57fse5

If it should be different, please double-check your front page settings at Settings > Reading in your site’s Dashboard.

As for the other issues, do they continue if you fully deactivate and delete the Litespeed Cache plugin?

Also, are you running any other caching plugins or hosting/server-level caching systems?

Here is what I see for your site’s home page: https://d.pr/i/57fse5

This is what I see as well, normally.

But adding a random query parameter to the same homepage turns out the page I showed in my previous post.

Which indicates it’s a stale cache problem.

    (@macmanx)

    Ah yes, good catch!

So, I’d have to return to what I said 2 days ago, “Never have more than one caching solution. There is no performance gained by caching a cache, there’s performance lost, plus you get weird issues like this.”

Dear George Apaiah and John Huff,

Thanks for sparing your valuable time to resolve my problems with respect to my Website.

A few hours back I have removed codes of Cloudflare and W3TC from .htaccess and miraculously the Home page started appearing fully.

Thank you both of you And Thank God.

    Yours,

    Janardhan Prasad
