WordPress SEO box missing from attachment pages

There is an option in the admin for the plugin to hide the box on image attachment pages but whether disabled or not there is no box on those admin pages for adding or editing image attachments.
Two other people have asked about this but there has been no answer.

I have a situation where I need the WordPress SEO box for attachments. How do I get it there? Or is this a bug?
