  • I have the same thing!

    I just noticed the exact same thing myself. Has anyone else had this problem and was able to fix it?

    Just wanted to add, when I create a new post, the WordPress SEO by Yoast window/tab is normal.

    However, after saving the draft post, the WordPress SEO by Yoast window/tab becomes empty, exactly like the screenshot of Zarga above.

    All old posts (published/draft) also have empty WordPress SEO by Yoast windows/tabs. I just noticed this after the last update.

    One more thing I want to share, I was able to fix this by restoring version 1.7.1.

    The version that I had when the problem was present was version 1.7.3 (the latest as I write this).

    @jcastillo How do I go back to earlier version of plugin? I updated to 1.7.3 yesterday and it doesn’t work very well at all.

    @kelly541, first thing I did was I deactivated the new version of the plugin, but I didn’t delete the files (I was concerned settings might also be deleted… not sure if this is true though).

    After that, I FTP’d a copy of the whole directory of the old version from backup, and I made sure to overwrite all of the same/existing files of the new version when prompted (I was using filezilla).

    When I got back to the plugin page, it showed I had version 1.7.1 and it was telling me to update to 1.7.3, so I ignored the prompt to update, and I simply re-activated the plugin. Things were back to normal afterwards… whew!

    This problem usually is due to a JavaScript error. Stopping the execution of the build of the page.

    Can you please take a screenshot of the console to check for any JavaScript-errors?

    @jcastillo

    Thanks so much JC! I guess I didn’t realize you could deactivate just the newest version of a plugin! All I see is the entire plugin to deactivate. I will check in to it.

    What started happening as soon as I updated with the new version is under SEO TITLE (with two words installed) I get this message under it:

    “Warning: Title display in Google is limited to a fixed width, yours is too long.”

    The posts already published are in the green but now this new post that was made after the plugin is yellow??? Anyways, thanks again and I will see what I can do!
