WordPress Seo Yoast 1.7 (the newest version)

I’ve been using your plugin for over two years, and I’ve updated to the newest version, just now. I am writing because I am not sure about certain settings, and I need to do it correctly, because I do it at work.

1) Titles & Metas -> Post Types

Post – ok
Pages – ok

Media, Layouts, Layout parts, Highlights, Portfolios, Slides, Testimonials – I’ve never seen or heard anything, about most of these before. All options for these selections are the same here, so I am not sure, what I should set it to:

noindex, follow – just check all of these?
show date in snippet preview – yes / no, why?
hide – yes / no, why?

The same goes for:

2) Titles & Metas -> Taxonomies
I am not sure about Format, Highlight Categories, Portfolio Categories, Slide Categories, Testimonial Categories – I’ve never heard about anything like this before. Just like above, all the options are the same: noindex, follow and hide. Should I check them, or keep it unchecked, and why?

Evertything else, I understand, so the other parts are good. I was not able to find anything about it on the Internet, so detailed and good info about the above, would be very good.
