    Hi,

I want to use your awesome plugin to backup my site because I have build a better and improved version on Localhost. Unfortunetely I receive the following warning message and I’m afraid that something will go wrong if I duplicate the site. I’m using W3 cache and tried to “clear all cache” This reduced the size of the cache path but it seems that it’s still to large.

Do you know how I can solve this issue and duplicate without any warnings?

Note: It’s a website with customers and orders, so It’s very important that I don’t loose any data.

    WordPress Version: [4.1.1]

It is recommended to have a version of WordPress that is greater that 3.7.0

    Core Files: [Found]

If the scanner is unable to locate the wp-config.php file in the root directory, then you will need to manually copy it to its new location.

    Cache Path: /home/soundclo/domains/soundcloudhq.com/public_html/wp-content/cache (1.45MB)

Cached data will lead to issues at install time and increases your archive size. It is recommended to empty your cache directory at build time. Use caution when removing data from the cache directory. If you have a cache plugin review the documentation for how to empty it; simply removing files might cause errors on your site. The cache size minimum threshold is currently set at 512KB.

  • Hey Dennis,

The scan message is just a warning. In most cases it won’t cause any issues and you definitely won’t loose data. The issue with having a large cache is that the cache is usually designed to be set for the location its built on. If you move that cache data to another server or location then it may try and read it, in effect causing your site to report errors. Normally if the cache is cleared then things will be fine…

As the case is will all backup software you should always have multiple backups and redundancy if you data is important…

    Hope that helps

    Cheers~
