WordPress & Shopify product layouts don’t match

  • Hi, just to give you an idea I put the Shopify url up because the WordPress site is hidden by a Coming Soon page (https://scandinavianpaintcompany.com/). The two site are successfully linked. I am just starting to set this up and I am finding that the WordPress product info is squished into what looks like a narrow left sidebar. I don’t know where this is controlled. It sounded like the Shopify layout should be duplicated——is this incorrect? There are a few too many different places to look. If it’s coming from the theme, that may be about to change. Please advise.

    I’m hoping that once I get the layout figured out things will go smoothly…!

    Hey there,

    The plugin does not pull over the Shopify layout or theme styling. So you’ll need to modify your WordPress theme to match what you have on Shopify.

    Hi,

    I haven’t been able to locate what is governing the layout for products or collections. I am also not a fan of the theme currently in use. Are there any themes you can recommend as working particularly well with your plugin?

    Hey there,

    I don’t know of any themes in particular that work well. Most of the themes that I’ve seen will display the products is a decent manner.

    The plugin creates a “rewrite” rule for the default /products and /collections pages which then points to a template file. This template file is what governs the layout of thee products and collections.

    Unfortunately this isn’t editable in the free version. However you can change the look and feel quite considerably using only CSS.
