WordPress Site Address not working

I’ve installed multiple WordPress sites in the past on the same server using a different directory and never had this issue. Now when I try to change the Site Address to remove the directory where WordPress is installed I get the following error. I checked it against other sites I’ve installed and everything is the exact same, but those sites all still work fine.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_ENCAPSED_AND_WHITESPACE in /nfs/c07/h04/mnt/173706/domains/coffeemethodology.com/html/index.php on line 17

Can anyone help solve this?
