WordPress site extremely slow! plus and error on the add new plugins page

Hello,

I am running into to major problems! One my site is loading very slowly … 33 seconds the first view and 26 the second. My site is live. I have very little on my site at this time and I am only running a handful of plugins, my setup is as follows:

WordPress 4.6.1
Child Theme Configurator 2.1.2
Contact Form 7 4.6
Contact Form 7 Tave Intergration 2014.12.04
Smooth Scroll Up 1.2
Social Media Feather 1.8.1

The second problem I am having the an error on the “add new” plugins page:
An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.ads-software.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.

Third issue is I am receiving errors on my dashboard page as follows:

RSS Error: WP HTTP Error: cURL error 6: name lookup timed out
