WordPress Site is Too Slow To Load Any Page

  • I really need your help as I was struggling with this matter for a month.

    My wordpress website (https://watarhassas.net) is too slow, and I still don’t know why, below are the troubleshooting I’ve done:
    1- Deactivate all plugins
    2- Remove all spam comments
    3- Restart Apatche + SQL

    None of the above has solved the issue. would much appreciate your support on this.

  • Here are two other things to check:

    1) If you are not using the default theme (Twenty Fifteen), try switching to Twenty Fifteen and see whether your site loads.

    2) Some hosting companies are not very good for WordPress sites, but they are rarely so bad that a site won’t load at all. But if you know how to create a local development environment (with MAMP or XAMPP or DesktopServer), copy your site to the local environment and see how it runs there. If it runs on the local server and not on the live (hosting company) server, then the problem is probably with their server. You may need to contact their support staff.

    Looks good to me now, though your Contact Form 7 shortcode appears instead of the actual contact form. Did you deactivate all your plugins? And have you tried configuring W3 Total Cache with the correct settings?

    Look into actioning the following:
    1. Enable gzip compression
    2. Optimise (compress) images with an application such as Caesium
    3. Leverage browser caching
