WordPress Site Running incredibly slow and not letting me post media

  • After only about a month since developing my site and very little posting, my website is all of the sudden not letting me post new posts. I’m a photographer so I do small galleries for my posts, and now it won’t let me add photos. When navigating around on my admin page, everything is super slow to load, and sometimes doesn’t even load and just goes to “this page can’t be displayed”. I know my internet is fine as all other sites work fine, except when I try and edit my own. My last successful post was a few days ago, and I haven’t changed anything since. I tried deleting all the plugins and changing the theme…..all to no avail. I just want to be able to edit my site!

    Try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

    If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via FTP or SFTP, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
