WordPress Site Transfer Between Servers

You have to:

1. Edit wp-config.php file, to update your new connection info for

host: usually it’s “localhost”
db: your new db name
user: db username
pass: db password

2. If you domain have changed, then you have to use a find and replace tool like

https://interconnectit.com/products/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/

change the URL.

The search replace file did work on one of my blogs, thank you. However the other one remains unchanged, I’m going to replace the wp-content folder on the remote server, I’ve replace the others.

I just transfered my domain from brainhost to webhostingpad and now I can’t find the content of my website. Nobody told me I was going to loose my content when I transfer. How do I retrieve my website content?
