WordPress Site with Customer Accounts/Information

  • Hello,
    I was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction. I have a client I a developing a site form, it is a Home Owners Association. Their site will have a Front/Public site, with a place for the residents to log in. Once they are logged in they will be taken to their custom dashboard which shows their Account information, (NAME, ADDRESS, HOA FEES, PAST BALANCE, COMPLIANCE ISSUES) and allow them to pay their dues. The data for the customer information will be exported from the clients QuickBooks Account.

    My issue is my background is as a traditional designer…I have installed, basic sites using WordPress but feel I need to be pointed in the right direction.

    Can anyone please suggest a template, plugins…etc. that I would be able to accomplish this. If I was modeling it after any example, it would be a water/utility company site/account dashboard and functionality.

    I have Installed the plugin MemberPress but do not believe that is the correct starting point.

    I appreciate any help/suggestions you can provide.

    Full disclosure…this is a client i have worked with in the past. When they approached me about this project I respectfully declined and suggested a couple of development companies I felt would be a good fit. They politely came back and said they would like me to take the project on and understand my limitations but known I will deliver what they are needing. This is why I am asking the experts for a bit of guidance!

    What you want is a “customer portal”. You can probably find one that has some of the functionality you want, but I expect that you’d need to do some customization.

    Google “wordpress client portal plugin” to get started on your quest.

    Thank you Steven! That is exactly what I was looking for, just didn’t know the correct Terminology! I really appreciate you pointing me in the right direction and I am sure I will be back with more questions for the community!
