WordPress Solution for Catering Company

    I’m wanting to put together a wordpress solution for a catering company who want to give users the ability to create custom quotes by selecting items from the various menus, and submitting the quote along with their function details.

    Ideally we would also want to give these users the ability to create an account, save their incomplete order to be completed at a letter date, track order progress (order received, deposit paid, order confirmed etc…), request changes to the order, have the ability to pay the a deposit or pay in full once the order is confirmed, etc…

    A few other features/functions that would come in handy are things like email notifications and integration with Mailchimp. Perhaps an integration with a CRM for workflow management.

    I’m leaning towards an e-commerce plugin like WP Ecommerce or similar, but there does not seem to be much support for customer accounts. There are premium membership addon plugins but they seem more geared towards customers paying for memberships in order to receive access to content, rather than order and account management.

    I wonder if there are any good user account/membership plugins around that would integrate with the likes of wp ecommerce or similar?

    We already have the current site on WordPress, hence my search for a WordPress solution, otherwise I’d look at a dedicated ecommerce platform.

    Really keen to get some thoughts and ideas from the amazing wordpress community on this, possibly hear from someone that has achieved something similar using WordPress??

    After a good look around, I found a plugin called jigoshop – https://jigoshop.com/
    Seems to meet most of my needs, plus its free. They also have a mailchimp extension for $12, and really user-friendly account pages for users, so they can easily track orders etc… That was the clincher really. Most of the more widely known ecommerce plugins like wp ecommerce and cart66 don’t seem to offer that.

    Still keen to find a user or subscriber account plugin to manage access to the dashboard, as well as the look and feel of it.

    Any recommendations?
