WordPress spam comments, especially on images

  • I am seeing a lot of spam comments on my blog which Akismet is not catching… they are mostly from gmx.de addresses… strangely they don’t have links or anything like that and they are mostly one word messages like “nice”, “awesome” etc… In other words harmless but annoying…
    Also they seem to be mostly on images, so to get to the page that contains the comment you have to click on an image inside one of the posts…
    My questions are:
    1. how can I stop it if akismet doesn’t?
    2. can I make it so you cannot comment on images embedded in posts?
