WordPress Stats and Popular Posts Show Wrong Title

  • For some reason the two WordPress.com “Stats” and “Popular Posts” plugins occasionally show the old draft title of my posts instead of the current title.

    For example, say while I was working on the draft version of a post I call it “draft post” then I update it later to “plugin problems”. Sometimes the plugins will show “draft post” instead of “plugin problems”.

    Anyone know how to resolve this? I’m using the most up-to-date version of both plugins.

    Would appreciate if anyone know how and guide us to solve this problem.

    I’m also having the same problem. My post titles don’t show up in my stats, but my “draft created on” does.

    Any way to fix it?

    Same with me… Most post titles are shown as Draft Created on [date]

    Getting quite confusing. Anyone knows how to fix it? Will it help if I increase the auto-save duration so it doesn’t auto save?

    I’m also having this problem, which has only started since upgrading to WordPress 2.5.1.

    According to my “Stats”, my most read post today is titled “Draft created on July 9, 2008 at 8:46 am”

    I’ve looked through the post itself and everything appears OK. The Title is correct and there’s no reference to Draft created on… in the html.

    It’s been over a month since the problem was first reported – is anyone working towards a solution?

    I was wondering if disabling the auto save might help. Since there will be no drafts saved, the stats plugin will report the post title. I hope.

    I installed the plugin and it’s not auto saving for now. Will see if stats report it correctly.

    Ok I installed the plugin and everything’s fine now in stats. Page titles being shown correctly.

    So I guess if auto saves are not important (they’re not for me, I run a webcomic), this hack might be ok.

    EDIT: Spoke too soon, wrong titles are back again. ??
