WordPress Stats configure new api key?

I have reinstated a blog from an old database. I deleted and reinstalled akismet and wordpress stats. I have a new akismet api key that I received via akismet as opposed to wordpress.com.

Even though I deleted and reinstalled wordpress stats it still tells me

Your WordPress.com account, leadingfromtheheart is not authorized to view the stats of this blog.

I do not want it to. I want to use the new api key I got from akismet. How do I do this? Anyone know?
