WordPress Stats gone?

My wordpress.com stats plug has mysteriously disappeared. The button is not on my dashboard so I went to my plug ins folder and it’s not there either. I went to public_html / blog / wp-content / plugins / stats and only the read me file is there.

What could have happened?
