We followed the prompts. Hit the Connect to Paypal button. Connect to Paypal. You’re all set…” message shows up. Hit enable Paypal and save. Does not save. What are we missing?

This is for a non profit. Some of what they demanded simply isn’t even required for a non profit. Yet we filled it out. Only to get the ‘not saving’ issue

    Hello @starhorsepax2

Thank you for reaching out to us, I think we can help you out with this one.
Before saving, can you verify that all fields have been populated under the connect button (Email address, Merchant Id, Client Id and Secret Key)? If these fields are not all populated, there might have been an issue connecting to your account and you would need to run through the connection process one more time.

This sometimes happens and we are working on getting this fixed for a future release.

Let me know if that is the case or if we need to take another look.

    Kind regards,
    Joost

This was definitely done. We were doing it for a client and after we didn’t have the info, she had to do it for herself. But she confirms it definitely said it was connected and it was all set. She even got an email from Paypal about it. She did it twice and it didn’t save.

    Hello @starhorsepax2

can you provide me with some more details about what you are seeing when you can’t save this? Are you seeing any errors and what fields are you seeing at this time? It is very hard to understand at what step you are; can you confirm those 4 fields are filled in when she tries to save?

    Kind regards,
    Joost

hmm. it claims it’s connected. When I click go back to developer screen it seems to go to the screen for the original Paypal payment plugin. Is there a difference? Does that have to be disabled?

    Hi @starhorsepax2,

Can you please make sure that the WordPress user that’s trying to save the settings has administrator permissions?
A user with the role Shop Manager currently can see the settings, but not make any adjustments to them, like for example connecting/disconnecting an account as all changes would be reverted after clicking “Save changes”.

When the popup window closes, then the “Connect to PayPal” button should be switched for a “Disconnect” button as seen in this example: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SC4aMbnE6niK7qtIkS0s8f7YTuQzZETp/
Then, after clicking “Save changes” with an admin account, the settings should be saved properly.

Please let us know how that works out. Thanks!

    Kind regards,
    Niklas
